We are proud to offer one of the latest advances in dental technology. With a CAD/CAM (Computer Assisted Design/Computer Assisted Manufacturing) process, we can now make crowns and onlays from start to finish in a single appointment.
Rather than taking impressions, making a temporary crown that has to be worn for a couple of weeks while a lab is making the permanent crown, and then returning for a second visit (more time lost, more anesthetics again, etc.), we do it all in one process. Digital imaging is used, and a computer program helps design the virtual crown. This data is then transferred to a milling unit that precisely creates a beautiful crown (while you have a short break) out of a very strong, ceramic (non-metal), biocompatible material. It’s then cemented or bonded to your tooth, and you’re done!
We use the most up to date version of CEREC© technology by Sirona, Inc.
